2. Principle
We process personal data in accordance with Switzerland's revised Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP/revDSG) and, where relevant for visitors from the EU, in line with the principles of the GDPR. We only process your personal data to the extent necessary to operate this website and to provide the services you request (e.g., a pilot conversation).
3. What data we process and why
Technical access data
When you visit this website, our hosting provider automatically records technical access data (e.g., IP address, date/time, page requested, browser type) in server logs. This data is used to ensure the stability and security of the service and is not combined with other data sources.
Web analytics
We use Google Tag Manager (Google Ireland Limited) to manage tags on this website and to record click events (e.g., clicks on contact buttons). Tag Manager itself does not set cookies or collect personal data — it only manages and triggers other tags.
Through Tag Manager, we additionally integrate Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) in its standard configuration. Google Analytics sets cookies on your device and creates pseudonymized usage profiles (e.g., pages visited, time spent, approximate location, device used) to provide us with statistical insights into how this website is used. This data is transmitted to Google's servers, including servers in the United States. Under Google Analytics' standard configuration, user data is retained for 14 months before being automatically deleted. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Mailto and booking links
When you click a "Contact," "Pilot Partner," or "Investment" link on this site, your email client opens with a pre-filled message to michael@cuepilot.ch. This pre-filled content includes the page you visited, the button you clicked, and — if present — campaign parameters from the URL (UTM parameters). This information is compiled entirely locally in your browser; it is not transmitted to any external analytics or tracking service. We only receive this information, together with your message, once you actually send the email.
HubSpot Meetings
To book a pilot conversation, we link to a booking tool provided by HubSpot (HubSpot Ireland Limited). Using this link takes you away from our website, and HubSpot's own privacy terms apply. Any data you enter there (name, email, appointment preference) is processed by HubSpot and provided to us to arrange the meeting.
4. Cookies
Through the integration of Google Analytics (see above), this website sets cookies to recognize your browser across multiple visits. Additional cookie-based technologies may be used by embedded third-party services (e.g., HubSpot when using the booking link).
5. Retention period
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by statutory retention obligations:
- Server logs: typically a few weeks, after which they are automatically deleted by our hosting provider.
- Google Analytics: 14 months under Google's standard setting, after which data is automatically deleted.
- Email correspondence and inquiries (e.g., via contact or pilot-partner links): for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and any resulting business relationship; the data is then deleted unless a statutory retention obligation applies (e.g., under commercial or tax law, typically 10 years for business correspondence).
- Appointment data via HubSpot: in accordance with HubSpot's retention rules, or until deleted by us or at your request.
6. International data transfers
As part of the services mentioned above (Google, HubSpot), data may also be processed on servers abroad, including in the United States. We ensure that providers offer appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses) where legally required.
7. Your rights
You have the right to request information about the personal data we process about you, as well as its correction, deletion, or restriction of processing, unless statutory retention obligations apply. Please contact michael@cuepilot.ch for such requests.
8. Changes
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect changes in the law or in our services. The version published on this page at any given time applies.
